A news story has surfaced today on a new conbined movement which is seemed designed to stamp out the dominance of Microsoft based Computer systems for home users and Business(currently 90%+ market share). the companies involved in this “alliance” are the huge International Business Machines (IBM), three Linux distributors (Free GUI based Operating Systems varients), Canonical (Ubuntu Server and Desktop software and OS) and Red Hat (Linux based OS) .So one huge world wide maker of Hardware and Network Infrastructure with a huge bank role and all of the best free Operating system software makers available together, all they need now is a name, say the Anti-Vista Alliance, Friends of PC Justice or how about the Microsoft removers League? Will it really happen, should be interesting to find out and the final product would be much cheaper ,in theory, without the all powerful Microsoft lincencing agreements!
