• Ask how many finishing places are there for the race, bet on most horses to win and don't take the odds as they may increase
• Just pay for them but make sure everything is an each way bet, take the odds and leave

• Up like a flash, dressed, out the door and queue at the pub door the bags your favourite seat and the best view in the house!
• Go clothes shopping with your partner, you promised too and only arrive to watch the race 15 minutes before it starts because she likes the race too

• I get my partner to moan about it not being loud enough and swipe a paper from the bar to get the numbers of the horses i've picked
