Ballyfermot’s Fresh and Funky Dance Schools “Fierce Hip Hop Dance Crew” came through the Irish Qualifiers with the opportunity to represent Ireland in the World Hip Hop Dance Championships in Bremen Germany on 9th June 2008.
Having secured funding through the Ballyfermot RAPID Area Programme and Dublin City Council the kids did Ireland and Ballyfermot.
The team came 30th overall but some of the children were exceptional and finished in very high positions.
Maureen Francis from Chapelizod finished 6th in the adult solo.
Maureen and Shannen Devlin Clondalkin finished 30th in the couples.
Amy Harding and Ashling Tims from Ballyfermot finished 34th in the couples.
Each section had over 200 entries and Ballyfermot and Ireland can be proud of it’s representatives.
