Sorry about the comment confusion, I didn't know if a half finished comment submitted properly as the screen refreshed on me and it disappeared but it didn't post so I started from scratch.

Anyway it should have been explained better to this person about the funding situation.

Nice first post Elaine ;)

Yeah, She did..

The officer hasn't got a qualification to say that it isn't a critical illness..
They have the funding but basically what she said was you have to have Aids, Hepititis B or cancer..

This isn't just Asperger's Syndrome there is also other problems to go along with it that was explained yesterday..

She hasn't got a fecking clue like..

I know what you mean by the last comment but like she was completely out of line and the information is inaccurate that she gave..

'A person I know went to a relieving officer today in Ballyfermot, and the relieving officer said Autism isn’t a real illness.'

This person went to see the relieving officer to get some financial help for the person with Autism?

Maybe what the officer ment was that there are no funds available as this illness isn't 'seen' to be a critical one, maybe?

I'm just guessing, but if the person who told you this is somebody you trust and the recanting is accurate then the officer is wrong to push the issue aside like that; agreed.

(PS ignore the first comment)
