Hi Philip! Perhaps you might do me the favour of using your own methods of contacting Darren and pass on my question as he doe'nt seem to be vey active on the blogs these recent days? It's only because my son is wondering about Darren's brother and if he is interested or not, in starting a band or at least meeting to talk about it?

I've never seen an easy screen swap because of the power lead from the motherboard, unless they're designed to do so, is this the case with Dell Darren?

What inch is the LCD screen? You don't have to buy from the LCD screen from DELL, besides there robbing b*stards. That's the catch with dell they sell you cheap laptops that break easy enough and then charge you a fortune for the replacement parts.

Any laptop LCD screen will work for a replacement screen once it's the correct size to fit.

Ps - You will need to get a set of percission screw drivers. Removing/installing the screen is really simply. take about 10-15 minutes. Just be carefull not to damage the LCD ribbon at the back of the screen.

Well if it's not too much of a hinderance then keep on using it until you really need to spend that money and by that time you might be able to get a brand new one for €167 or a very good second hand one either
